In a small heavy saucepan melt butter with brown sugar and corn syrup over moderate heat, stirring, until smooth and pour into a 13- by 9- by 2-inch...

Omg, my bus just hit a bike rider. what the he’ll CTA?
That is fucking ridiculous. I hate the CTA. Some bus drivers are extremely careless with those multi-ton death-mobiles. I, personally, am not afraid to be one with the streets on my bicycle here, but most people I know or have talked to are afraid. These situations are the reasons. I really hope the cyclist was okay (and also...
The Great Olympic Debate →
britreed:
Tom Tresser, communications director for No Games Chicago, a non-profit organization opposing the Olympics said, “We think the Games will go over budget and it would potentially lead to the city’s bankruptcy. The entire financial system in America and the planet is fragile and Chicago and Illinois are broke right now, running billions of dollars of deficit. So, this is not a risk we...

I guess there is a first for everything.
This is the first time I have cried at the first episode of the season on House. It was fucking incredible.
And today was a good day.
I have The Distillers stuck in my head.
I am so incredibly tired right now. I just want to go to sleep. I have large amounts of homework though, as always.
Today I spent a good few minutes talking this guy up about the credit card. He agreed to get it, and was all excited about all of the benefits, and then I had to let him down so hard when I told him he didn’t get approved and was not going to be getting any benefits. I always...
Apple season is approaching.
I love apples. My goal this season is to successfully make apple butter. YUM!
I drank a whole cup of caffeinated coffee today, and I am not so happy about it. Caffeine makes me kind of sick feeling.
If you don’t listen to Anathallo, you need to. Now.
Also, I worked in the studio today— it was alright. Although I am nervous to use our B&W darkrooms here, I am excited to be...
MY LIFE IS MISSING SOMETHING...
…it’s called MY BICYCLE.
WHERE IS IT?!
I need to procure a bicycle PRONTO.
(On an equally serious note, I think my eyes have gotten worse with time and are affecting the quality of my focusing in my shots. This is not good.)
Two weeks down...
and I have already mastered internet procrastination.
Flickr will be the death of my concentration.
Astounding.
How is it that I manage to spend hours being on the internet without actually going on facebook?
I don't like painting.
I really really don’t like painting.
Unless it is something that I actually want to paint. I like painting things that don’t have to be precise.
I don’t like being worried about how accurate my blue-green is.
What I do like though…is rest.
Thoughts before bed.
Well, he hasn’t texted in a few days. I wonder what that means.
I really really need to go on a diet. I’ve never felt so enormous in my entire life.
My work load for school will probably kill me.
Taking two shooting classes is tough, and it’s only the second week. I have about 5 rolls to do in the next week (not even). Also, coming up with one innovative and creative project...
And another.
Patrick Swayze died today.
I no have the urge to watch Dirty Dancing. Hmph.
Oh, the excitement.
MIRAH is coming to Chicago— I AM GOING.
Jen and I also want to road trip to Madison to see her play too. It really is a fabulous idea.
END NOTE: Tonight was not really on my list of how I would enjoy spending a Saturday evening. No no bueno.
What did I do today?
I have a beautiful Saturday to do with whatever I like…and I choose to spend it it my room listening to music.
Typical.
I start both of my photography classes on Monday. Both are heavy on the shooting assignments. This should be interesting.
